Help families in Bristol this winter with essentials for new mums and children up to 5 years old. By providing basics such as toiletries, nappies, clothes, breastfeeding items, toys, books and a safe place to sleep - together we can help keep babies safe, warm and well this Christmas and in 2025.

In Bristol 17,900 children (1 in 5) live in low income families, which can have a profound impact on their health and development. The families that we support do not have essential equipment or toiletries for their children. Many also face homelessness, domestic abuse, mental health issues, are seeking refuge/asylum; or are mums under 21. Referrals to our service are increasing. In 2023-24 we redistributed over 82,500 items to 1798 families, up 13% from 1586 families in 2022-23.

In 9 years we have supported over 10,000 families, helping on average 40 families per week, rising to 50-60 over winter. Working with over 440 local referral partners, we provide families with pre-loved equipment (clothes, prams, cots, feeding aids and toys), and new items (cot mattresses, nappies, maternity and breast pads and toiletries). This results in improved and safer living environments for babies and children, reduced stress and financial burden for parents and improved mental health.
