World-leading music tuition is expensive. Undergraduate course fees start at £9,250 for UK students and £29,200 for international students. With the ever-increasing cost of living in London, coupled with instrument maintenance and intensive private practice, many students are unable to supplement their income, and will find the financial commitment extremely challenging. A lack of adequate financial support for music students will drastically affect the positive impact that music has on society.

Providing scholarships enables us to relieve talented students of financial burden allowing them to focus on their studies and make the most of all that the RCM has to offer. In turn, we produce world-class musicians who make a significant contribution to the global musical landscape and inspire others with their music-making. Over 50% of our students currently receive some form of financial support, giving them the freedom to excel in their studies and prepare for their careers.
