Shrewsbury House (widely known as "The Shewsy") is seeking to raise funds to support the team of Play and Youth Workers who work with the 100+ young people who attend the Youth Club every day. The funds will also be used to support the operational needs of a building which is now 50 years old.

To ensure that our Club Members encounter a safe, creative and inspiring environment every day requires a Staff Team that is well-trained, motivated and equipped with the skills to work well with vulnerable young people from low income backgrounds. Equally, the physical spaces in our building which is now 50 years old need constant attention and upgrading to ensure that they are safe and inspirational as the Club looks to ready our members for the world of work and community living.

Shrewsbury House is looking to raise unrestricted funds to ensure that the ratios of staff to children and young adults are safe and appropriate for the delivery of a full programme of activities within the Club and on residential visits and projects. Staff will be recruited and existing staff further trained to ensure that the aims of the Club can be fully met. Funds will also be used to ensure that we operate safely and effectively in an exceptionally challenging financial context.
