Winter is a time when no family should be without the basics. For families working round-the-clock to care for disabled or seriously ill children on on a low income it can be the toughest time. With household bills at their peak budgets are even more stretched to afford the items their children urgently need- from replacement clothing and bedding for warmth and comfort to soothing sensory play equipment.
Solution
This is where Family Fund comes in. We give grants to families raising disabled and seriously ill children for the essential items they tell us they need most, but can’t afford. We ease some of the financial worry and quickly and smoothly get grants to them during a challenging time. We give parents and carers a chance to breathe, so they can focus on doing what we all want to this winter- spending quality time together as a family.
