"You were there for me when nobody else was.” Each month, hundreds of people call to ask for our help: with a cancer diagnosis, the effects of treatment, or the pain of losing a loved one. A cancer diagnosis is a life-changing event: we’re there to help you face the future.

"I was in so much pain I couldn't manage anymore. My therapist has given me my life back." Being diagnosed with cancer or losing a loved one is a huge life event: bringing with it anxiety, fear for the future, pain, and potentially gruelling treatment. It changes the life of the patient and everyone around them. Each year, the number of people who call us for help is rising: we need to raise funds to help the growing number of people in our community who are struggling with cancer.

Our clients may need counselling to deal with an incurable diagnosis; or hypnotherapy to deal with their fear. They tell us how massage improved their walking after surgery; how aromatherapy banished nightmares, and how their children moved forward after the death of a parent. Cancer patients are often left waiting – for results, treatment, and surgery. We do not want our clients to wait. We aim to see them within two weeks of their call – but as numbers grow, this is becoming harder.
