We’re raising funds to scale preventative work against relationship abuse, domestic violence and sexual assault. With your help, we can provide young people with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in their relationships and avoid the trauma that can result from relationship abuse.

Our view of healthy relationships is influenced by many factors, including: economic circumstances, childhood experiences, and increasingly - what we see online. In 2024, 60% of young Londoners we surveyed were unable to identify the signs of an unhealthy relationship. This has to change - and fast, because you can only see the signs of abuse, when you know the signs. And ONS data indicates that you are most likely to become a victim of relationship abuse between the ages of 16-19.

Through face-to-face workshops, LMK’s “near peer” workshop facilitators support young people aged 10-24 to explore the signs of healthy and unhealthy relationships. Through scenario based discussion we explore unhealthy signs like possessiveness, manipulation, volatility, and healthy signs like owning actions, healthy conflict and independence. Young people leave with an ability to name relationship behaviours, and an understanding of how to seek help for themselves or a friend.
