At six girls are already forming negative comparisons with boys, many avoiding subjects seen as requiring them to be "really really smart." This limits their aspirations, opportunities, and self-belief. Donating to GFS will help girls develop essential life-skills and the confidence to BE ANYTHING.

Girls as young as six feel unable to be themselves due to pressures like gender stereotypes, sexist attitudes, violence, online safety, social media, beauty standards, peer pressure, bullying, loneliness, family expectations, and period poverty. This affects their relationships, wellbeing, and confidence, leading to missed opportunities and perpetuating gender inequality. This is especially significant in communities where deprivation is high, opportunities are reduced & challenges increased.

When girls can be themselves, they can voice opinions, explore new activities, form diverse friendships, persevere after setbacks, pursue their dreams, and take pride in who they are. GFS creates safe spaces for girls so they can develop the essential life-skills and relationships to boost their happiness, confidence, and resilience. What sets GFS apart is its presence in disadvantaged communities, focus on early intervention, inclusive environments, and girl-led programme.
