Pupils are being robbed of an arts education denying them artistic enrichment and skills key to their wellbeing, personal development & employability; drama teachers are unsupported; and only a small proportion of the 26K students within 2 miles of the Lyric saw a show in 2023. The Cultural Learning Alliance report: - A 42% decline in Arts GCSE entries since 2010 - That 41% of schools no longer enter any pupils for Drama GCSE - Since 2010, the vacancy rate for Drama teachers has multiplied by 5

In 2025 the Lyric will provide access to the theatre for pupils & support teachers with: - 1300 MORE subsidised tickets to curriculum shows Macbeth, Play On & more - LYRIC SCHOOLS CIRCLE for 20 West London schools - Drama/SEN teacher CPD training - Host NT Connections - Digital education packs - Workshops & Q&As - Schools Response Projects - SEND engagement Supporting these areas strengthens our involvement with pupils, supporting their mental and physical wellbeing through arts education.
