Cameroon has a significant lack of infrastructure and, within isolated rural communities, there is a huge need for a programme of building classrooms and water sources. Many of the existing buildings are in such a poor state of repair that they are virtually uninhabitable in the rainy season and dangerously close to collapse. We are enabling access to quality education in a safe environment, which is key in empowering children to become active participants in transforming their societies.

We replace dangerously inadequate school buildings with durable, hygienic, and weatherproof classroom blocks, with new latrines, and clean water drinking supplies. This improves access to education, the health of the children and their families and increases children’s life chances. Our trusted in-country partner NGO, Strategic Humanitarian Services [SHUMAS] Cameroon, has a proven record, recognised by the UN, of effectively delivering humanitarian projects in the hard-to-reach areas.
