We're the only charity offering this service in the UK. Our storage is used by people sleeping outside, sofa surfing, staying in shelters and squats, care leavers, in prison and fleeing violent home situations. Every person who stores is offered help and support to address the situation they are in.

Rough sleeping and no-fault evictions are at a record high. People continue to be judged because they 'look homeless', which further isolates them from being a part of society, creating extra barriers as they work to address the life challenges they face. As the only UK charity providing free, accessible and safe storage for people experiencing homelessness, our service removes this stigma and reduces physical and mental strain. Demand has quadrupled from 120 requests in 2021 to 475 in 2023.
We reach people at their time of greatest need, often at a critical point when they’ve just become homeless. We often offer transport for people who have no way of traveling with their items, or who have too much to carry. Our advocacy work ranges from general conversations to longer term intensive help, from one of our own staff, via trusted partners or signposting to other services. We work with a person to understand their situation, agree a storage plan and identify other areas for support.
