SWV supports veterans whose lives have been shattered by injury and trauma. Our proven programmes help veterans regain confidence, build resilience and access employment. Our work transforms lives and we couldn’t do it without you. Together, we give hope to those who have given so much for others.

Every year, roughly 1,500 service personnel are medically discharged with profound injuries. When the support of the military falls away, many struggle physically, emotionally and financially. On average, the veterans we support have been out of the Armed Forces for 6 years and are 39 years of age. They come to us with little hope and motivation. It’s our job to turn things around for them and their loved ones. With your help we can give them a future to look forward to.

SWV’s principal aim is to enable wounded veterans to move from injury to independence. To be there for all who need us, for as long as they need us. We offer six comprehensive programme pathways that are designed to support veterans during all stages of their recovery. These include sports rehabilitation, pain management, mentoring, mental health and employment support. Of the veterans we help, more than 90% go on to successfully secure occupation, training or employment.
