Every month in the UK, 4 babies are born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy and SMA UK have been supporting those affected for the past forty years. With new treatment options now available, the SMA Community is growing, They are looking for the most up-to-date and accurate information about the condition from a trusted source. They also need our support in navigating issues associated with having SMA, ranging from obtaining the right equipment to getting ready for nursery, school, university or work.

SMA UK is dedicated to helping anyone affected by SMA that needs us and our Community Support Team are on hand to offer personalised advice and support via telephone, online and in person and we are a trusted source of information accredited by the Patient Information Forum (PIF). We provide support grants for specialist equipment and travel to centres for treatment. We also bring the Community together to support each other through our Virtual Networks and in-person events across the country.
