Muso Baby offers free access to music-based therapy for parents and babies. Our social prescription programme serves small groups in a non-clinical space, enabling meaningful interactions and serving as a lifeline for parents experiencing or at risk of anxiety or post-natal depression.

Post-natal depression and anxiety can be debilitating for new parents, often leading to feelings of loneliness, inadequacy and a disconnect from their babies. These challenges can then only be made worse by societal pressures, lack of support networks and the physical and emotional demands of parenthood. A supportive, inclusive space where parents can access therapeutic support is a huge help to many new parents, but it can also be expensive and intimidating. This is where Muso Baby comes in!

Muso Baby provides free access to a six-week programme, ran by a qualified music therapist, where parents can learn new techniques that will help them bond with their babies through music. Parents also get a chance to develop peer relationships and access support in a safe space, meaning they can develop resilience, and the confidence to seek further support for their own wellbeing. Our programme is designed specifically for parents who might not normally access support or visit a museum.
