Life on Earth is in crisis: the unprecedented rate of degradation means we are living through an age of extinction. We know that the current decade is critical to reverse this trend. Kew’s Collections are helping scientists tackle some of the biggest challenges facing our planet today, however, access to these critical specimens is currently limited, hindering progress. The fight against climate change demands collective action.

Kew’s collection of dried plants and fungi specimens is one of the largest in the world, used by researchers to help combat climate change, save species from extinction, future-proof agriculture, sustainably feed our future and discover better medicines. By Digitising our Collections, we can make our globally unique resources freely available to scientists and the public alike, accelerating our vital research and fostering international collaboration.
