Everyone in the UK is entitled to medical care, yet for many in vulnerable circumstances, (including asylum seekers & refugees), lack of address/proof of identification are (wrongly) barriers to accessing medical care. Other barriers are a lack of knowledge, lack of IT, language barriers, fear of authorities and mistrust of systems, all preventing access to healthcare for people and their families. 70% of those we help do not have have a stable housing, and 84% live below the poverty line.

We run medical services including in person, adviceline and outreach sessions to support people who are excluded from healthcare. Many are seeking asylum, undocumented migrants, victims of modern slavery and/or experiencing homelessness. We help people to register with a GP and provide support for urgent health issues. Our medical services are staffed by medical and casework volunteers, they ensure that our patients' health is protected for the long term.
