Donating today ensures that the Traverse can be a creative hub and a champion for cultural agency all year round. Beyond the Festival we remove barriers to artistic careers, work with young people & pupils, enable creative practice for all, and platform crucial stories for & about our communities.

As a registered Scottish charity (SC002368), we depend on donations to keep our stage doors wide open, to work with schools and community groups, produce ambitious theatre, keep tickets affordable – and to do more good for our community, with our community. Whether in Edinburgh, the local community or globally, we need your help to spark creativity and empower cultural agency.

As a creative hub, we enable artists and audiences to make sense of the world today, providing a safe space to question, learn, empathise and – crucially – encounter different people and experiences. Not only are culture and art at the heart of what we do but so are our community and audiences. We champion removing social and financial barriers to cultural participation; empowering emergent talent and growing arts as a tool for change and social benefit.
