Building on the success of our presence at this year's RHS Chelsea Flower Show, we are fundraising for a new, artist-designed, purpose-built facility for our drop-in 'Caravan' counselling service which offers 5,000 hours of free counselling each year to all-comers.

Poor access to mental health counselling presents significant challenges to society and to individuals. For individuals, it leads to untreated mental illnesses, exacerbating symptoms, and reducing quality of life, productivity, and overall well-being. For society, it increases healthcare costs, burdens social services, and contributes to higher rates of homelessness, unemployment, and crime. Therapy is prohibitively expensive for many - a barrier to access we seek to remove.

Currently our free, seven-day-a-week, drop-in counselling service welcomes clients from all walks of life. Run in partnership with the Centre for Counselling & Psychotherapy Education since 1982, the Caravan offers a safe and private space for around 5,000 hours of counselling a year. The caravan itself is now at the end of its useful life and we have commissioned an artist to work with the service to design a new, purpose-built facility to sit at the heart of our restored garden.
