Peace Direct is raising urgent funds to help communities living through violent conflict around the world. This funding will support peacebuilding initiatives in 14 countries experiencing conflict. Your donations will support local peacebuilders in countries including Sudan, Congo and Afghanistan.

Global conflict is at an all-time high and poses a major threat to humanity. Extreme violence and human rights violations around the world displaced more than 68 million people in 2023 – the highest number of people forced to leave their homes worldwide ever recorded. While international media is often solely focused on the immediate humanitarian crises, there is little attention paid to how to end mass-violence and support affected communities to heal and build towards a peaceful future.
Solution
Peace Direct will support locally led peacebuilding initiatives in 14 conflict-affected countries around the world – including Sudan, DR Congo, Afghanistan and Syria. We will partner with 27 local organisations who are working tirelessly to stop violence and build peace, in the most challenging contexts. Led by local expertise, we will help tackle the root causes of violence and build stronger, safer communities in the midst of and after violent conflict.
