Brain tumours reduce life expectancy by 27 years on average - the highest of any cancer. By funding vital research and crucial support, we’re moving faster towards a future where we can give every family affected by a brain tumour the greatest gift of all – more time to make new memories together.

Situation
Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and under 40s, reducing life expectancy by 27 years on average. For those facing a brain tumour, treatment options remain extremely limited and often have little impact on survival rates. Surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy all come with life-changing, devastating side effects that not only severely affect their quality of life but have a serious impact on what time they have together with their loved ones.
Solution
The Brain Tumour Charity is the world’s leading brain tumour charity. As the largest funder of research into brain tumours globally, our goal is for everyone diagnosed with a brain tumour to live longer, better and happier lives. For the 33 people diagnosed with a brain tumour in the UK every day, we want to give them not just more time with their loved ones, but the best quality of life possible. We can only achieve this through funding more groundbreaking research both in the UK and globally.
