Our appeal aims to make sure rough sleepers who use our services have the warm clothes and equipment needed to stay as warm and safe as possible this winter. Sleeping on the streets is dangerous at any time of year but without the right gear the winter cold can be deadly.

Situation
This year the number of people sleeping rough in London hit a record high. This is particularly acute in our borough of Lewisham which, last winter, had the highest number of rough sleepers of any London borough. While our expert staff team aim to find shelter for everyone sleeping rough it is not always possible. To survive the cold weather when sleeping on the streets they need warm clothes, thermal layers, 4 season sleeping bags and more to protect them from the elements.
Solution
With sufficient funding we can provide a hot meal, shower, laundry facilities and expert housing advice to anyone in Greenwich and Lewisham who has lost their home this winter. Those who we were unable to find shelter for will receive the warm clothes and equipment required to survive sleeping on the streets in the winter weather. Those who need it will be able to access on-site medical and mental health support.
