Situation
Villagers like those living in Dhar and Khargone, Madhya Pradesh, India, face water scarcity due to prolonged drought, population growth, and agricultural demands. Women and girls spend hours fetching water, limiting their education and job opportunities. Health is impacted by high rates of fluorosis and open defecation, leading to social exclusion. The lack of sanitation infrastructure and knowledge of hydrology and hygiene practices makes these communities even more vulnerable.
Solution
Frank Water works with the most marginalised communities, often where few charities operate, to bring water security to those who need it most. We invest in people by building trust and community knowledge of hydrology, nature-based solutions, hygiene, and their health connections. We empower them to advocate for investments, manage water resources sustainably, and maintain good hygiene levels. Projects are tailored-made with partners, policymakers and planners to ensure sustainable impact.
