World Vision are working to end child hunger now. There is enough food to feed everyone, yet 35 million people are on the edge of starvation. Conflict and climate change are contributing to the worst hunger crisis in decades. Many children are forced into work or marriage, or must relocate, to access affordable food. Food insecurity causes 45% of preventable deaths for those under five. Every child deserves the food they need to develop a healthy body and mind. 

World Vision works in the 28 most severely affected countries around the world to tackle extreme forms of child hunger. As one of the largest partners of the UN’s World Food Programme, we supply emergency food to the most vulnerable and displaced children. To tackle long term food insecurity, we also partner with communities to develop sustainable livelihoods, nutrition guidance and farming practices. Over the past decade, 89% of severely malnourished children we treated made a full recovery.
