Those with life-limiting illnesses often face the unwelcome prospect of spending their last Christmas in hospital, away from everything that is familiar to them. With your support, we can give patients the option of spending their final days either on our Inpatient Unit or at home where they can cherish their time together with family, safe in the knowledge their medical and support needs are being taken care of.
Solution
Patients on our 24/7 Inpatient Unit have access to outstanding specialist palliative care and symptom management that helps keep them as comfortable as possible, giving them the opportunity to enjoy Christmas with their loved ones. Our Care at Home also provides an outstanding level of care but gives our patients the opportunity to celebrate their final Christmas at home. Regardless of where our patients are cared for, our nurses and doctors can reduce the stress on families, allowing them to spend worry-free quality time together and to make special memories.
