Dalit children are ostracised from state schools in India, and need access to education. We provide accredited education to break the cycle of caste discrimination. We encourage children to know their worth and support them to realise their rights; creating pathways to a brighter future for all.

In India, Dalits are at the bottom of the caste hierarchy and considered “untouchables”. Dalit children face entrenched discrimination, trapped in a cycle of poverty and exclusion. Despite legal protections, they are still denied their rights and face significant barriers to accessing education.

Through informal learning and rights-based lessons, children grow in confidence and self-worth, equipping them to thrive. For the first time, children will have the chance to gain a nationally recognised qualification through an ‘open schooling’ scheme; opening up opportunities for further education and employment.
