Young people from low-income and ethnic minority backgrounds in the UK face significant barriers to success in leadership roles. Despite making up 12.4% of the working population, they represent only 8.4% of managers and 5% of senior managers. Individuals from working-class backgrounds earn 17% less than their more privileged peers. We address these disparities by providing mentorship, leadership training, and networking opportunities to bridge the gap and empower future leaders.
We empower young people through comprehensive leadership and mentoring programs. Our 1 to 4-day leadership workshops cover essential skills like public speaking, CV building, and networking. Following this, a 9-month mentoring programme pairs participants with senior leaders from top companies, providing personalised guidance and support. These initiatives help bridge socio-economic gaps, build confidence, and prepare our beneficiaries for leadership roles and successful careers.
