Sadly, many children are disconnected from nature and unaware of the difficulties faced by the natural world. By taking the Rivers2U mobile classroom to schools, we are able to inspire the next generation by letting them know what they can do to help rivers and wildlife.

We are seeking to fund our Rivers2U environmental education project which aims to engage children with rivers. We have a mobile classroom which contains a working model of a river table, and a rivers lab with microscopes to observe and identify freshwater invertebrates. We take this to schools in the catchments of the rivers Swale, Ure, Nidd, Wharfe and Ouse, and activities are linked to the national curriculum.
