For over 45 years Challengers has been breaking down barriers to bring play to disabled children across the South East, while offering valuable respite to families. Our Christmas Appeal seeks to raise essential funds to support these vital programmes. Please join us in making a difference.

Disabled children miss out on many opportunities, leaving them excluded and isolated. Children with complex needs often remain stuck between school and home, and 70% of disabled children are chronically lonely. Parents struggle to find services that meet their child's needs and desperately need a break from the constant stress of caregiving. 49% of parents report their child being excluded from other settings. Without Challengers, there is often nowhere else for their child to go.

We give disabled children the chance to have fun, develop social skills, and make friends in a safe, supportive environment where everyone is celebrated. Families find a lifeline of respite, knowing their child is in a place that meets all their needs. As champions of inclusion, our trained staff ensure we never exclude a child, no matter how complex their needs. “Joining Challengers has been life-changing. My son is understood and safe and I get time to myself knowing that my son is OK.”
