Cinderella is an essential part of BRB’s repertoire and is often many people’s first ballet experience. As a national touring company, we are committed to presenting world class ballet accompanied by a live orchestra. We are facing rising costs for touring, and public funding is falling. BRB will receive a 100% cut from Birmingham City Council in Spring 2025. Older ballet productions’ need constant repairs to ensure the show can go on, and this beautiful production is now over 14 years old.

An assessment of the production has been undertaken by our technical and costume teams and we have identified a priority list of sets, costumes and props which need urgent repair and restoration. These include the lizard footmen’s 'heads', and ‘Cinders’ fireplace. With your support we can be confident to deliver our touring plans, provide opportunities for child ballet performers to shine and present the beauty and spectacle of Cinderella to our audiences, despite rising costs and funding cuts.
