Womankind's helpline forms the backbone of the mental health support we offer to women and girls. Our Big Give campaign will raise much needed funds for this confidential telephone and webchat service. Our trained volunteers offer listening support to women and girls experiencing emotional distress.

Situation
The rising cost of living disproportionately affects women, making existing inequalities worse. We view this nationwide crisis alongside an epidemic of violence against Women and Girls a significant threat to their mental health. Demand for our work is at a record high. Of our 5,816 helpline calls handled last year, 22% disclosed financial difficulties or problems with housing or homelessness, 38% experienced significant anxiety and 46% related to experiences of sexual or domestic abuse.
Solution
The Big Give Women and Girls Match Fund is the perfect campaign for supporting Womankind's helpline. From 10th – 17th October this year, donations made to our fundraising page will be matched by the Big Give to double the amount, meaning double the impact! With your help, we aim to increase the capacity of the telephone and webchat helpline by recruiting and training more volunteers, helping us to help her. We want to ensure that no call goes unanswered and no woman is left unheard.
