Everyone should be safe to enjoy a carefree, happy childhood, but that just isn’t the case. The mental health of the children in our community across the West Midlands is declining, and the impact is devastating the lives of these young people, their families and our community. We must intervene.

20.5% of children in the West Midlands are suffering with at least one mental health disorder, up from 11.7% in 2017. That means nearly twice as many children are struggling now compared to just a few years ago, and with a quarter of 11-16 year olds and nearly half of 17-19 year olds in the UK with a mental health disorder reporting that they have self-harmed, we have to take action.

We will deliver a crucial, preventative, holistic training and awareness programme designed to - Upskill and educate leaders and carers of children to support their mental health - Empower children with the skills and tools to recognise and manage their own mental health and to support their peers It is crucial that we intervene holistically, ensuring we not only directly help children now, but that we promote a supportive community for their futures. Help us to help them.
