Sight Loss is incredibly challenging and isolating. It has a huge impact on people’s activity levels, social interaction, health and wellbeing. It is estimated that there are over 33,000 people living with sight loss in our operating area. These numbers are rising. One in 5 people will have some form of sight loss during their lifetime. Our aims are to ensure that people with sight loss can take part in all aspects of society, feel part of a community and enjoy independent and fulfilled lives.

We will respond to the needs of the blind and partially sighted community by running a range of activities and peer-support groups and by providing advice and guidance to those with sight loss in South Wales. Our work is carried out via home-visits; groups and through 1:1 sessions. We run a mixture of virtual and face to face support groups across our operating area. In addition, we provide workshops and courses to help with essential daily living skills.
