It may be cold outside, but this Christmas Helping Hands will be serving up hot food, warm company and better futures for local people in need. You can help us double the impact of everything we do to give vulnerable groups in our community a 'hand up' and not just a 'hand out'.

Situation
An increasing need to support those who are struggling with poverty, homelessness, mental health issues, isolation and substance abuse. We are also seeing rising numbers of ex-offenders and victims of abuse who need specialised male and female support programmes. Many of our clients come to us with complex problems, from language difficulties to addictive behaviours which make it difficult them for them to rebuild their lives and relationships.
Solution
We will continue to run our daily breakfast club and evening soup kitchen. These services act as a gateway into our dedicated men’s and women’s support groups where the team offer advocacy, support with housing issues, access to on-site counselling and opportunities for employment, education and social engagement. We will also secure our House2Home furniture delivery project, helping families to furnish their homes with white goods and essentials.
