Street Child United uses the power of sport, children’s voices, and the arts to change the way the world negatively perceives & treats street-connected children, so they can be protected, respected, & supported to build a life away from the streets. We will host the Street Child World Cup USA 2026.

Over the last 10 years, SCU has proved that lasting change can be won for street connected young people using sport and that major events are 'More than a Game' when a tangible, lasting legacy can be achieved, on behalf of the world’s poorest. The young people we represent are campaigning for birth registration, access to education, protection from violence and gender equality, and through the SCU Young Leader Programme, we are able to give these children a voice.

In front of the world's press, the Street Child World Cup USA 2026 will create a platform for our 27 teams of street children to speak about the issues and challenges that are most relevant to them and how governments, businesses and communities can support street-connected young people to contribute to SDGs 4 (quality education), 5 (gender equality),10 (reduced inequality), 16 (peace, justice and strong institutions and 17 (partnerships to achieve the goals).
