Towner is facing significant cuts in its council funding which could threaten our free programme. We really need your help to keep art and activities free, especially for children, families and schools in our most disadvantaged communities, so please make a donation to the Towner Fund. Thank you!

Situation
The gallery is experiencing an immediate cut to its funding from Eastbourne Borough Council, with a further cut expected next year reducing our grant by £200k. Our budget which is already stretched due to increased utility and wage costs, will be even more under pressure threatening our ability to continue providing free access to exhibitions which Towner has offered for over 100 years. Most at risk however are the free creative activities we offer children and young people.
Solution
Like you, we want to keep as much of our programme free as we can. Please donate to help ensure this remains possible. Next year, a new Ravilious Gallery showing more of the artist’s work will be free, as will exhibitions showcasing contemporary artists. With your help, we can also continue free activities such as Wriggle Room for under 5s at Towner and The Trees Community Centre in Hampden Park, holiday creativity for families and workshops for schools. Please support us today!
