Situation
It's well documented that we are nation of animal lovers whose pets are a much-loved part of our families. They provide us with love and companionship and in return we take care of them and seek expert help when they fall ill. We all want our pets to be treated to the highest standards however there are still many diseases and conditions that are not fully understood. We are the UK’s leading charity provider of grants solely dedicated to supporting clinical research of companion animal diseases.
Solution
While several charities are devoted to the prevention of animal cruelty and suffering, few are concerned with the study and improvement of pet medicine and surgery. The funds we raise enable students (undergraduate vet nurses and vets), practitioners and researchers to advance clinical investigations and improve the diagnoses and treatment of our much loved pets. Our approach is highly effective, impact driven and results in long-term positive outcomes for companion animals and those who treat them.
