Conflict almost always leads to displacement and the war in Gaza is no exception. Fear of persecution and unrest is causing hundreds of families across the region to seek safety and security beyond their borders. Jordan was already home to over 2.7M refugees with over 730K refugees registered with UNCHR. The recent increase in the number of families fleeing conflict is putting immeasurable strain on resources. The scale of the crisis continues to outpace our capacity to support those in need.

We operate a network of Olive Tree Centres to offer support to the refugees. Providing access to food, medical care, trauma support, schooling for the children and training and psycho-social support for the adults. We aim to equip them with skills that they can utilise now and in the future. “Refugees literally arrive with nothing, just their clothes, and we try and give them everything they need. We have seen more refugees from Sudan and Ukraine too.” Said a centre leader.
