The UK is dangerously off track to honour its promise to reduce emissions by over two-thirds by 2030. And because of government inaction, people are suffering from high energy bills, drafty homes and a lack of green jobs. Furthermore, there’s a risk these benefits won’t be shared fairly. For example, due to the upfront costs of products like heat pumps, some people won’t benefit from their lower running costs. Current plans also fail to address sectors like transport, heating and agriculture.

We want the government to publish a strong climate plan that meets the UK's climate targets, including the pledge to reduce emissions by 68% by 2030. We'll raise public awareness, mobilise our supporters and local groups, and work with other organisations to build political pressure. We’ll ensure new climate plans are legally robust. We'll advocate for investment in green industries, and for climate policies with strong economic and social benefits.
