Bloody Good Period provides quality period products to asylum-seekers, refugees and those who can’t afford them throughout the UK. We also provide a menstrua health education programme which works to establish excellent menstrual, sexual and reproductive health literacy in refugee communities.

Almost a quarter of people who have periods in the UK are now struggling to afford basic period products. Removal of VAT from menstrual products and the universal provision of menstrual products in English schools (Jan 2020) do not go far enough. They do not tackle period poverty for the many and varied groups of people who experience it. Recent research (By In-Kind) shows that people in low-income households or those receiving universal credit were more likely to go without period products.

Our charity provides asylum seekers, refugees, those in poverty and otherwise displaced people and their dependents with unrestricted access to high quality, free period supplies of their choice, accompanied by menstrual and reproductive health education.
