Right now, students nationwide are dealing with many challenges. Academic pressure, money worries, and loneliness can all impact mental health. Navigating identity and discrimination can make uni life even tougher. 1 in 3 students we surveyed reported poor mental wellbeing. Experiencing mental health difficulties at university can lead to lower academic attainment, and drop out. It can affect friendships and relationships. However students' needs are often overlooked.

Student Minds improves university communities so that every student can reach their potential. We provide free resources and workshops that empower students to look after themselves and friends. We show university leaders what effective mental health support looks like and help them to make mental health a university-wide priority. We conduct research into the issues affecting students. We share our recommendations with the higher education sector and government to influence national change.
