Young people in our community are facing complex challenges, but cuts to support services are leaving many with nowhere to turn. With your help, we can give young people aged 7-25 years old time with a Volunteer Mentor, who will help them feel safe, heard, and hopeful for their future.

Situation
Young people in Bath & North East Somerset are facing complex challenges: poor mental health, loneliness, family breakdown, bereavement, domestic abuse, and poverty. Despite the challenges more and more young people are facing, support is dwindling. Budget cuts have placed unprecedented strain on schools, statutory services, and mental health support, leaving many young people, some as young as 7, with nowhere to turn. They need our help now more than ever.
Solution
For over 25 years, our trained Volunteer Mentors have been supporting young people through challenging times. They serve as positive role models, boosting the self-confidence and self-esteem of their mentees while helping them reconnect with family, friends, education, and employment. With your support, we can safeguard the future of our Volunteer Mentoring Programme across Bath & North East Somerset and help young people feel safe, heard, and hopeful for their future.
