Situation
Autism, also referred to as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), is a complex neurological and brain development condition. It is a lifelong condition which is not treated or cured. Parents of very young autistic children are struggling to secure the support they need causing stress and anxiety to their child and family. Children not diagnosed until school age are more likely to be excluded from school, and in later life be unemployed. We provide early intervention which can be life transforming.
Solution
We deliver programmes to address the gap in support for families with young autistic children (ages 0-12). Our flagship First Steps programme (ages 0-4) is an innovative, research-led programme that unusually, provides direct face-to-face support within the family home, delivered by child psychologists and paediatric occupational health practitioners. Our Confident Autism Parenting programme focusses on children (ages 5-12) and provides online workshops on key aspects of autism over 10 weeks.
