We will train medical professionals, so that bereaved SUDC families receive more consistent medical care and compassionate emotional support; we will raise public awareness in the community, and we will champion SUDC scientific research, to stop children dying suddenly and without explanation.

SUDC has had limited attention for too long. The incidence is not changing - every fortnight in the UK, 1 to 2 seemingly healthy children between 1 and 18 years die suddenly without reason. If the unimaginable happens and your child dies suddenly and unexpectedly, you probably haven’t heard of SUDC. You see a doctor but as SUDC was not embedded in their training, they don't understand. Currently, we cannot prevent SUDC or identify which children are at risk. Help us to change this.
We will invest in a network of highly trained volunteer ambassadors across local communities to raise awareness. We will train medical professionals, police and Coroner's officers and create a new training package for all English Integrated Health Boards. We will galvanise support, collaborate and raise awareness for scientific research at a biennial international conference, where significantly, for the first time, we have secured the inclusion of SUDC in branding and across the programme.
