Situation
The psychological impact of a baby dying can be lasting and profound, with symptoms including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress and risk of suicide. The effects and impact are felt by the whole family and all those who know the family, including friends and professionals- thousands of people every year. With no outside support this can place immense strain on the entire family, with bereaved parents vulnerable to relationship break-down and difficulties parenting living siblings.
Solution
Our free Bereavement Support services provide an accessible, immediate and bespoke source of emotional support at any point after the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or young child, and for as long as it’s needed. We will continue to provide our award-winning Bereavement Support Helpline, Befriending Service, Family Days and resource packs.
