Nearly 78% of children & young people with autism have at least 1 mental health condition; nearly half have 2 or more. With waiting times for mental health support increasing, what was challenging can become more difficult. Help us to ensure young autistic Islanders get the support they need.

    We help address some causes of poor mental health for autistic CYP (aged 5-25) eg: Struggling at school. Data shows autistic CYP are twice as likely to be excluded compared to pupils with no special educational needs. Struggling to gain and retain employment. Only 30% of working age autistic Britons are in employment. Being 4x more likely to be lonely & need support to socialise. Facing difficulties in maintaining housing tenancies with higher risk of homelessness without appropriate support

    Working to a Youth Info, Advice & Counselling model of delivery, we deliver practical and therapeutic interventions, including: Counselling & Adaptive CBT delivered by clinical practitioners trained to work with autistic children & young people. Tailored wellbeing programme for those struggling to move between child & adulthood aged 16-25 years Employment & housing advice Links to schools to promote positive autistic identity, increase understanding & break down barriers to school attendance
