We are on a mission to connect and protect lowland heathlands. We want to enhance the landscape by improving wildfire resilience, educating the public, supporting conservation grazing, conserving rare species and assessing species reintroduction. There’s a lot to do which is why we need your support

We are addressing the urgent need to protect and connect Surrey's lowland heathlands .These unique and fragile ecosystems face threats from human development, climate change, and wildfires. These species rich wildlife havens are rarer than rainforests and need careful management or we risk losing them forever.

By implementing initiatives like increasing connectivity, improving wildfire resilience, and conserving rare species, we're safeguarding biodiversity and ensuring the sustainability of these vital habitats for future generations. These habitats shelter unique species such as the Sand Lizard, Smooth Snake and Heath Tiger Beetle which can’t be found anywhere else, and are also home to a huge range of plant and insect species, as well as internationally protected ground nesting birds.
