Situation
The National Infant Feeding Survey found 8 out of 10 women stopped breastfeeding before they wanted to. Women say information and support in their communities help them to continue, however pressures on resources risk reducing the availability of vital support; particularly in deprived areas. BfN run essential services alongside health practitioners. As a charity, inflation and the increased cost-of-living mean that budgets to run our quality-assured services are more stretched than ever.
Solution
BfN is trusted UK-wide by women, families and health professionals to offer information, support, education, and peer support training. Research shows our essential services have a huge impact on the hundreds of thousands of women accessing them free of charge, but these services need to be paid for. We need your financial support so that we can focus BfN’s energies on what we do best: the delivery of safe, high-quality, consistent infant feeding services that women and families depend upon.
