CFT urgently needs additional space for developing new work. We run the largest regional Youth Theatre in the country, training over 850 young people each week and we urgently need a space for our technical youth theatre to operate in. We also know there is a huge demand for a third space to offer a programme for a younger audience in support of the night time economy of Chichester, a space for our ever-increasing community programme and our early years activities.

As an existing building sustainability is at the core of the project. Usable year-round and fully wheel chair accessible, the layout is a three-sided thrust, flat floor stage with removable stacked seating for up to 119 people. We will incubate, hatch and develop the creative talent of the future. Using two distinct operating modes: a ‘day mode’ supporting artistic development and skills and a ‘night mode’ supporting an alternative programme, attracting new audiences to engage with it.
