Every day, children living in poverty become needlessly blind from conditions that can be treated, like cataracts. Your Miracle gift of sight can provide access to sight-saving surgery, so they can see their loved ones, gain an education, play with their friends, and build a bright future.

Aanand, 7, living in poverty with his family in Nepal, South Asia, loves to study, but cataracts cloud his future. “Because of my eye problem, I face difficulty reading the letters written on the board” Aanand said. His father told us, “my son is very talented… but due to his eye problem, he is not able to study well”. No one should be blind just because they are poor, but today, 3 out of 4 people who are blind don’t need to be, because of conditions that can be treated or prevented.

Your donation will restore sight and prevent blindness for children in the world’s poorest places through supporting sight-saving operations, training locally-based surgeons, funding equipment and medical supplies, and supporting community awareness and screening programmes to ensure that children with eye problems are identified quickly. Your donation will give children like Aanand, living in remote and difficult to reach places access to good quality eye health services.
