Poor mental health can leave people feeling isolated. It may be difficult to build connections and develop a sense of belonging; being part of a community is important to mental health and wellbeing. Gaps in statutory services may leave young people transitioning to adult support with nowhere to turn and at risk of escalation. Reducing escalation of mental health issues in young people is key to them developing the resilience and confidence to lead fulfilling lives.

Safe Space is a non-judgemental community where young people are supported with their mental health and wellbeing. Through Wellbeinggroup activities, people are empowered to lead, plan and engage in activities which improve communication skills, increase self-esteem and build relationships in all areas of their lives. Bath Mind's services support 'Identity and Belonging' as a way of developing resilience, bringing people together, supporting them to learn new skills and increase opportunities.
