Every year over 40,000 children in the UK are left with a brain injury after a serious accident or injury. New physical needs and medical equipment mean a child is often unable to travel by car or public transport. Missing out on their favourite activities, days out and seeing their friends & family can lead to a child’s sense of isolation & challenge their mental health. Our adapted vehicles & volunteer drivers can help a child and their family, on their road to recovery after a brain injury.

    1) Maintain our specialist vehicles so children can travel in safety and comfort. 2) Transport children who must lie down in our specialist stretcher vehicle. 3) Ensure families can attend hospital without worrying about travel. We save c.£30,000 a year in ambulance hire which frees up NHS vehicles . 4) Arrange fun off-site activities for the children which are a welcome break and a chance to use skills learnt during rehabilitation. 5) Lend vehicles to parents who are a long way from home
